Staff Warhawk Pride – Nurse Laken
Nurse Laken has made an immediate impact on our campus! She is never afraid to jump in wherever she is needed and has already stepped into a leadership role as the lead of our District Wellness Committee. Her initiative, positive attitude, and willingness to serve our students and staff are greatly appreciated. We are so glad to have her as part of the Warhawk family!
Halle
Halle shows kindness and courtesy to her classmates and teachers every day. She consistently goes above and beyond and maintains her composure even in situations when others might not. Her maturity and kindness are wonderful examples of Warhawk Pride!
Annaliese
When a student on crutches slipped and fell on a wet floor in a crowded hallway, Annaliese didn't hesitate. She immediately dropped her bag, picked up the student's crutches, and stayed to help until the student was safely back on her feet. Her compassion and willingness to help someone in need are exactly what Warhawk Pride is all about!
Bella
Bella showed generosity and thoughtfulness by giving $5 so that anyone who might need it could get a Johnny Freeze. It was a simple act with a big message—look for opportunities to make someone else's day a little better.
We are proud of each of these Warhawks for showing that character is demonstrated through our everyday choices and actions.

Caution to drivers – Biking Blast ahead! 🚴♂️💙
On Friday, May 8, 2026, MVE Elementary will host its 15th Annual Biking Blast.
Bikers will be traveling on Garland Springs Road, Dalton Road, Mount Vernon Road, Bellwood Drive, and Siloam Road during the following times:
• 6:15 AM to 8:15 AM
• 3:00 PM to 4:15 PM
Please use extreme caution and expect delays. Mount Vernon Road will be closed for part of the day from Bellwood Drive to the MVE Elementary Campus. If possible, consider taking an alternate route.

Seniors and parents/guardians are encouraged to attend the Financial Aid Night.
The FAFSA is mandatory for all graduating seniors planning to pursue any form of post-secondary education. Completing this application is essential for two reasons:
It is the primary application used to determine a student's eligibility for Pell Grant money, which is federal funding that does not have to be repaid.
Completion is also required for students to qualify for and receive state scholarships.
We understand that the FAFSA process can be complex, so we are offering a dedicated night to help families complete the application.

October is always a creative and fun time in our High School Art Department! 🎨
Students are taking on Inktober—a drawing challenge with 31 ink drawings in 31 days—and they also brought their imaginations to life by constructing 3D haunted houses! 👻
Our students are so multitalented and full of creativity! Congratulations to Noah Simpson, Leland Parson, and Cooper Bishop for winning the Haunted House Challenge! 💙

Starting with the class of 2027, all Arkansas public high school students must complete 75 hours of documented community service between grades 9–12 to graduate. This requirement is part of the LEARNS Act (Act 237 of 2023) and encourages civic engagement and personal growth.
Key details:
Students can accumulate hours at their own pace. For example, a student might complete 30 hours in 9th grade and 45 in 10th grade to meet the total requirement.
Students transferring into an Arkansas school after 9th grade must complete a prorated number of hours based on their grade level at the time of transfer.
Service activities should include preparation, action, and reflection components. They can be completed inside or outside Arkansas, before, during, or after school hours, and must be approved by the local school district.
