Some of the hardest-working people in our schools do their best work when nobody’s watching. 💙
For School Custodian Appreciation Day, we’re giving a big Warhawk thank-you to our custodial crew! From early morning preparations to the cleanup after everyone heads home, you help keep MVE clean, safe, and ready for another day.
Spills, muddy footprints, cafeteria messes… school life keeps you busy! We appreciate your patience, your hard work, and the care you give our students and staff.
You’re an important part of our Warhawk family, and we hope you feel celebrated today! 👏

Important Notice: School Lockdown Drill
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We want to inform you about an event at our school that is essential for the safety and well-being of our students.
Today, Monday, September 21st we will be conducting a lockdown drill as part of the state required emergency drill. This drill is a precautionary measure designed to ensure that our staff and students are well-prepared in the unlikely event of an emergency situation. The safety of your children is our top priority, and these drills are crucial for practicing and refining our response procedures.
During the lockdown drill, students and staff will follow established protocols to secure classrooms and common areas. Our SRO will be present to observe and provide valuable feedback to enhance our preparedness.
We understand that these drills can be unsettling, but we reassure our students that it is a routine practice aimed at creating a safe learning environment. If your child has any questions or concerns, our teachers and support staff will be available to address them.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter. If you have any further questions or if there are specific concerns you would like to discuss, please feel free to contact us.
Thank you for your ongoing support in ensuring the safety of our school community.
Sincerely,
Megan Hyman
Elementary Principal
