🍂 Warhawks Fall Recap: Flight of the Fun! 🥳
What a fantastic fall for our Warhawks! From record-breaking athletics to awesome classroom innovation, there’s been non-stop excitement across the Mt. Vernon-Enola District.
🏃 Warhawk Athletics is SMASHING Records!
Our Cross Country teams dominated the conference meet, setting new school records and earning top spots:
Junior Girls: Georgia Smith finished 7th (14:32, NEW SCHOOL RECORD!) and Newlyn White was 9th (15:04).
Junior Boys: Swept the top spots with Brayden Curtis in 1st (12:03, NEW SCHOOL RECORD!), Langston Duck 2nd (12:18), and Sylas Sanders 9th (13:00).
Team Triumphs: Junior Boys took District Runner-Up, and Senior Sophie Green finished 9th!
And a big welcome to our brand-new Bowling Team as Basketball season officially tips off! 🏀🎳

Intro to Business student Jaylen Bradley received a surprise package from her favorite hair dye brand—a fun lesson in brand engagement!
Our amazing AG students brought home the hardware, dominating at the Arkansas State Fair.
Pre-K had a blast learning to measure, making friendship bracelets, and sending out sweet thank you cards. 🥰
🎨 Community & Wellness
Elementary students enjoyed pumpkin patch adventures and celebrated Red Ribbon Week!
Art classes were busy creating for Inktober and took a inspiring field trip to the Little Rock Art Museum.
We strengthened our school community during successful Parent-Teacher Conferences and teacher Professional Development days.

A huge thank you to our School Board President, Graham Peterson, for facilitating the Arkansas School Board Region 8 Annual Conference! His leadership helps guide our district. We are also thrilled to announce a major district safety grant was awarded to enhance security for all students and staff!

Destiny recently attended UCA's Bear Facts Day and walked away with a huge surprise: a $1000 Scholarship in a random drawing! 🤑 We are so proud of her dedication to her future.
This scholarship is one of the many she has earned this year! Destiny is also a shining example of our school's values and commitment to leadership as one of our valued MVE Mentors. She is building connections, inspiring growth, and creating success every single day.

She loves spending her summers at the lakehouse or out on the boat with family and friends, and she is always down for Mexican food!
Ms. Loyd says what she enjoys most about being a Warhawk is the way everyone comes together to support and encourage one another—whether that’s through a conversation, a kind act, or cheering in the bleachers.

Ben built a beautiful hickory table and benches for his Ag Mechanics project and has been recognized across multiple levels of competition. At the Faulkner County Fair, he earned division winner and 3rd overall Ag Mechanics project, grand champion Charolais heifer, 3rd overall Charolais heifer, and was part of the reserve fitting team.
At the District Fair, Ben continued his winning streak with grand Charolais heifer and 3rd overall Charolais heifer. At AYE, he was division winner and reserve grand champion overall Ag Mechanics, as well as class winner Charolais heifer. To top it off, at the Arkansas State Fair he earned class winner Charolais heifer twice, reserve division winner in Ag Mechanics, and was again part of the reserve fitting team.
Ben’s hard work, craftsmanship, and care for his livestock reflect integrity, innovation, achievement, and family — the core values of the Warhawk community. His dedication, consistency, and commitment to excellence make us proud to call him a Warhawk!

Mt. Vernon-Enola School District has been awarded over $89,000 through the Department of Justice’s School Violence Prevention Program grant! 💙
This funding will help us upgrade security measures across the district over the next three years — an incredible step forward in keeping our students and staff safe.
A huge thank-you goes out to our parents, community members, and business partners who helped make this possible through your ongoing support and partnership. Your commitment to our schools makes a real difference every day.

Abigail also shined in the rabbit show ring, earning reserve grand champion rabbit showman at Faulkner County Fair and 3rd overall rabbit showman at State Fair.
Through her projects, Abigail demonstrated integrity, innovation, achievement, and family. She learned the importance of patience and consistency, seeing firsthand how persistent effort leads to success—not just in competitions, but in life. From maintaining good grades to pursuing future goals, Abigail’s dedication is inspiring.
