Our elementary students enjoyed a visit from the NED Show and had the chance to practice their yo-yo skills. Kindergarten students captured special cap and gown pictures, and we welcomed our future students during Kindergarten Signing Day.
At the high school, several 11th and 12th grade students participated in a week-long Manufacturing Bootcamp facilitated by UACCM. Students earned forklift certification and gained hands-on experience with measurements, hand tools (including building benches), electrical circuits, and hydraulics. Students were also competing in CDE competitions, continuing to represent MVE at a high level.
And of course, it was a busy week in athletics with track, baseball, and softball in action.
Take a look at some of the highlights:

This week we’re spotlighting Coach Jason Jobe, who teaches Civics/Economics and World History and serves as the head coach of our Lady Warhawks Softball team. What inspires him most is the opportunity to build strong relationships with students and players while helping them reach their goals.
After a long day, you’ll likely find him enjoying a steak and potatoes dinner, and when he gets the chance to travel, Switzerland or Austria to see the Alps is at the top of his list. On the weekends, he enjoys catching a college softball game or spending time on the golf course with friends.
We are thankful for the integrity, leadership, and steady commitment Coach Jobe brings to our Warhawk Family each day 💙🤍

In her article, Ms. Kindsfater highlights the importance of a balanced approach to artificial intelligence in education—one that provides meaningful training for teachers, helps students understand the complexities of the technology, and establishes clear ethical guidelines so AI supports, rather than replaces, foundational learning skills.
Rachel Rigsby, Arkansas Policy Manager with Teach Plus, shared that Ms. Kindsfater’s voice, dedication, and leadership have been a valuable part of the fellowship and an inspiration to fellow educators.
We are proud of the leadership our educators show both inside and outside the classroom and appreciate the opportunity for their work to contribute to conversations that support student success across Arkansas.

From Read Across America Week to our Elementary Read-A-Thon, students have been celebrating the joy of reading in so many ways. We loved seeing our Reading Buddies in action, and it was especially meaningful to have many of our high school students visit the elementary to read to classrooms. Watching older students lead and serve as role models made the week even more special.
Officer Jones even took a turn in the hot seat during Read or Write in Mrs. Sara’s 3rd grade class, bringing plenty of smiles and great conversation.
We also proudly recognized our Elementary Students of the Month, celebrating achievement and character that reflect our core values of integrity, innovation, achievement, and family.
March is off to a strong start, and we are proud of the energy, leadership, and love of learning happening in our elementary each day.
