🏀 If you were an Enola Tiger, a Mt. Vernon Blue Jay, or an MVE Warhawk, drop your basketball pictures in the comments below! We want to see those uniforms, hairstyles, team pictures, action shots, and glory-day memories! 📸
If you weren’t at the MVE High School gym tonight, you sure missed a LOT of fun!
The 4th Annual Alumni Basketball Game brought the crowd, the competition, the laughs, and plenty of memories. There may have been a few sore muscles involved too. 😂🏀
It was so much fun seeing former Enola Tigers, Mt. Vernon Blue Jays, and MVE Warhawks back on the court representing their schools and reliving a little bit of the glory days!
Thank you to everyone who played, came out to cheer, helped make the night happen, and supported this event. Nights like this are what make our school community so special.

We join together as a community to honor the innocent lives lost twenty-five years ago on September 11, 2001. We also remember the profound courage of the first responders, service members, and everyday heroes who risked everything to help others in our nation's darkest hour.
This day serves as a powerful reminder of our resilience, unity, and the enduring strength found when we support one another. We encourage our families to take a moment today to reflect on these values and share the importance of service and community with our students.
If you would like to explore educational resources, personal stories of resilience, and interactive historical exhibits with your children, the National September 11 Memorial and Museum provides incredible tools for families.
Explore the resources here: https://www.911memorial.org/
We stand together in remembrance and gratitude.

We had a wonderful turnout for our very first event, with so many dads and father figures showing up to spend time with their students and be part of their school experience. That kind of presence, support, and involvement makes a lasting difference in the lives of our kids!
A huge thank you to Mrs. Theresa and Officer Jones for taking the initiative to bring this program to MVE and to everyone who helped make our launch such a success.
It’s programs and people like these that make MVE such a special place. This is the good stuff, and we’re excited to see All Pro Dads grow!

See you all tomorrow on Tuesday, September 8, 2026!

Just a quick reminder that all schools and district offices will be closed this coming Monday, September 7, 2026, in observance of Labor Day.
We hope our students, staff, and families take this long weekend to relax, recharge, and enjoy time together.
Labor Day is more than just a three-day weekend—it is a yearly tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers who built and continue to strengthen our country.
If you would like to explore the history of how this holiday came to be, the U.S. Department of Labor has a great resource for families to read together.
Learn more about the history of Labor Day here: https://www.dol.gov/general/laborday/history
Have a safe, wonderful weekend, and we look forward to seeing everyone back in school on Tuesday!

Across our classrooms, students are learning, growing, creating, experimenting, and having fun along the way!
Even a power outage couldn’t stop the learning! 💡 Officer Sullivan jumped into Outdoor Pursuits to teach students some basic first aid, while Mrs. Lasley got creative with lighting to carry on her lesson. That’s making the most of every situation!
In Child Growth and Development, students researched the history of parenting from 1600–2020 and presented what they learned to their classmates.
Mrs. Jalynn’s science students were introduced to systems using a cherry pitter—and Officer Jones even got in on the learning! 🍒 Mrs. Cornett’s concurrent Psychology class is studying research methods, while our preschool students took their learning on the move with a circle hunt. 🔵
In art, students are practicing value, color order, blending, pattern, and space using watercolor. 🎨 Our 9th graders have been busy in the lab practicing accurate and precise measurements and putting their skills to work building bridges in science.
This is the good stuff—hands-on learning, creativity, curiosity, problem-solving, and experiences that make learning stick!

Mt. Vernon-Enola School District is aware of the “Cat in the Hat” trend currently circulating on social media.
At this time, no threats have been made toward Mt. Vernon–Enola School District.
The safety and security of our students and staff is always our highest priority. We remain vigilant and take any threat—or information that could potentially impact the safety of our schools—very seriously.
Our district works closely with our School Resource Officers and the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office. We are extremely thankful for their continued partnership and commitment to the safety of our students, staff, and school community.
Like many online trends, students may view participation as a joke or harmless fun; however, when social media content involves other students, school property, disruption to the school day, or inappropriate behavior, it can quickly become a safety and disciplinary concern.
Parents and families can help us by:
• Talking with your student about responsible social media use and the lasting impact of what they post, share, or encourage.
• Reminding students not to participate in, record, share, or promote disruptive or inappropriate social media challenges.
• Monitoring your student’s social media activity and discussing trends they are seeing online.
• Encouraging students to report concerning posts or planned activities to a trusted adult rather than sharing them with others.
Our goal is not to give these trends more attention, but to work together to keep them from disrupting learning or creating unsafe situations at school. We will continue to monitor the situation and will communicate with our families if there is any information specific to our district that needs to be shared.
Thank you for partnering with MVE School District to help our students make safe, responsible choices—both at school and online.

Research continues to show just how important involved fathers and father figures are in the lives of children. Children with involved fathers have a stronger foundation for well-being and are at lower risk for a number of poor childhood outcomes, including behavioral problems, poor school performance, substance abuse, and more. National data also highlights the significant challenges children can face when a father is absent from the home.
That’s why we are excited about our All Pro Dad chapter! These monthly meetings give dads and father figures an opportunity to spend intentional time with their children at school—having fun, building relationships, and making memories together.
Our next All Pro Dad meeting is coming up!
📅 September 10
⏰ 7:15–7:45 AM
📍 Mt. Vernon-Enola Elementary
📲 Register here:

You can also scan the QR code on the graphic to RSVP!
Dads, grandpas, stepdads, uncles, mentors, and other positive father figures—we would love to have you join us. Your presence matters, and sometimes the simplest investment of time can make the biggest difference.
Help us spread the word and make our next All Pro Dad morning a great one!

Thanks to the vision and leadership of Officer Jones, our Warhawks have an exciting new way to grow, serve, and shine. When asked about the impact of the program, Officer Jones shared that the goal is to give students a positive sense of responsibility, leadership, and purpose while building confidence, teamwork, and strong decision-making skills.
Our patrol members are stepping up as positive role models by assisting with parent drop-off, greeting classmates, and taking true ownership in keeping our school safe and welcoming.
This program perfectly reflects our core values:
Integrity: Building everyday accountability and doing the right thing for our campus.
Innovation: Empowering students with fresh opportunities to practice age-appropriate safety leadership.
Achievement: Celebrating personal growth, confidence, and teamwork in action.
Family: Coming together to foster a warm, supportive, and safe community for every student.
We are so proud of our Warhawks for stepping into these leadership roles!

A huge shoutout to Mt. Vernon Baptist Church for showing up and feeding our students during the fun! 🌭 Time and time again, y'all show up for our district, and we are so grateful for partners like you.

Thank you, Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, for your continued generosity and heart for our kids! 💙🤍
