“One statement that really reflects the Fueling Brains curriculum is, ‘It’s not about what you learn, it’s how you learn.’” — Mrs. Sarah Loyd, Lead PreK Teacher 💙

Fueling Brains focuses on building three key executive functions: working memory, inhibitory control, and cognitive flexibility. These skills help young learners develop self-regulation, problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.

At MVE PreK, we are teaching students how to learn before layering in all the academics. This strong foundation is so important as students prepare to enter Kindergarten and beyond. We’re proud of the intentional learning happening in our PreK classrooms every day!

It’s Teacher Tuesday, and today we’re celebrating Mrs. Erin Thomason! 🌊🌮

Mrs. Thomason has lived in six states and attended five schools, so she knows what it’s like to be the new kid. She loves beach days — boogie boarding, kayaking, and relaxing in the waves.

Her favorite classroom moments are when students have those “ah-ha” breakthroughs and their confidence starts to shine.

And if tacos are on the menu, she’s happy! 🌮

Mrs. Thomason loves being a Warhawk and says her whole family is thriving in this community.
