Another Friday, another round of completed projects across the district. Our maintenance team works hard all year long, and we are so thankful for their dedication and effort.

🍎 Teacher Tuesday: Special Edition
Today we’re celebrating one of our own — Damara Moore is now a published author!
We are so proud of Mrs. Moore for her deep dedication to her students, her faith, and our district. Her tenacity as a teacher and advocate is unmatched... and now she can officially add author to her resume.
In her own words:
"I did a thing. A big, bold, Jesus-loving, sass-filled THING. I wrote a book. And not just any book—Scrip & Sass: 90 Days of Real Faith for Real Life. It’s for the days when your coffee’s cold, your patience is gone, and your prayers start with, 'Lord, help me not lose it today...'"

To help our students stay focused and follow state law, MVE is enforcing the Bell to Bell No Cell policy. From 7:49 am to 3:16 pm, students may not use or visibly carry phones, earbuds, smartwatches, or any personal electronic devices during the school day.
This includes use in classrooms, hallways, restrooms, the cafeteria, the library, and on school buses unless the bus driver allows it for learning purposes.
Devices must stay out of sight and not in use during these hours.
The only exceptions are:
When a teacher or bus driver allows use for instruction
When a student has a 504 Plan or IEP that requires a device
In an emergency
Students may use their devices before 7:49 am outside the building and after 3:16 pm.
Thank you for helping us create a safe and focused learning environment for all students.

It’s time for Teacher Tuesday, and this week we’re excited to introduce you to the wonderful Sara Carlton! 💙📚
Mrs. Carlton dreams of visiting Scotland to see castles, explore museums, and hike the countryside — and if she weren’t a teacher, she’d love to work at a therapeutic horse riding center, one of her biggest dreams. 🐴🏞️
She finds encouragement and direction in the Bible, and every morning, she and her kids remind each other that they are kind, loved, brave, smart, strong, positive, and important — no matter what kind of day lies ahead.
When it’s time to rest and recharge, she loves spending quality time with her family. It doesn’t matter what they do, as long as they’re together. 💙
We’re thankful to have Mrs. Carlton as part of the Warhawk family!

Our incredible maintenance team has been hard at work this summer! 💪
Among their many projects, they’ve updated bathrooms at the high school 🚻 and built brand new cabinets for some of our teachers 🪚📚 — all while keeping up with property maintenance across our district! 🌿🏫
They’ve made the most of their time to ensure our campuses are safe, functional, and looking their best for the new year. 👏

She’s in Amarillo, spending precious time with her brand new great niece 👶 and enjoying a visit to the wildlife rescue center 🐾 where her sister-in-law works—petting all the animals along the way 🐐🦉🦝
Mrs. Hyman works hard all year long for our students and district, and we’re so glad she’s able to disconnect, recharge, and enjoy quality time with loved ones. 💖

It’s Teacher Tuesday, and today we’re shining the spotlight on one of our amazing Kindergarten teachers — Mrs. Rachel Brandon! 🍎💙
Her favorite classroom activity? Watching caterpillars turn into butterflies — how perfect is that for a Kindergarten teacher! 🐛🦋
When she’s not in the classroom, Mrs. Brandon loves relaxing at home, shopping, and spending time with her granddaughter. Her go-to comfort food is dark chocolate, and if she could instantly master any hobby, it would be drawing so she could create things for others and use it in class. 🎨
If she weren’t a teacher, she’d be working in the medical field — but we’re so glad she’s here with us helping our littlest Warhawks grow!
