This week, mark your calendars for See You at the Pole on Wednesday, September 24 at 7:00 a.m. at each campus. This is a student-led time of prayer where students, staff, and families gather around the flagpole to lift up our schools, community, and nation.
We also want to send a huge congratulations to all of our MVE Warhawks who competed at the Faulkner County Fair last week—you represented our district with excellence, and we are so proud of you!

Today, we are shining a spotlight on Jalynn Holt, who is an incredible part of our team! Jalynn's dream is to visit Greece to see the Parthenon, and her go-to comfort food is pasta. She loves learning new things and would love to master the art of crocheting blankets, a skill her grandmother taught her.
What inspires Jalynn most as a teacher is seeing that "got it!" moment when a student finally understands a concept they've been struggling with. It's that joy of learning that keeps her going. Her advice to students is one of her favorite quotes from Eleanor Roosevelt: "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent. You are never less than anyone else." 💙

Ever wonder what's been happening behind the classroom doors? Let's take a look at all the hands-on learning our Warhawks have been up to! 🤩
Our students have been so busy exploring and creating!
🎨 High School Art classes have been getting their hands dirty with pottery.
📚 The elementary celebrated International Dot Day with a special art and literacy unit that encouraged creativity and making their mark on the world.
📜 History students have been busy drafting a mock school constitution and learning all about constitutional rights with Officer Sullivan. They've also been exploring the Industrial Revolution and the major impact of the cotton gin on agriculture.
👂 Our 4th graders have been using their ears to survive! They've been exploring how animals use their sense of hearing to find friends and avoid predators.
🌱 Our 5th graders are digging into science by learning about plants and the importance of photosynthesis—discovering how plants create the energy that fuels all living things!
Meanwhile, our 6th graders took on a delicious challenge during counseling: getting a cookie from their forehead to their mouth without using their hands! 🍪 It was a fun way to learn a valuable lesson about the power of a positive attitude in overcoming challenges, both in the game and in life.
It's always a blast to be a Warhawk!

Something BIG is coming to Warhawk Athletics… and you get to be part of history!
Our new Warhawk mascot needs a name, and every penny counts! 💰 Cast your vote for Willy, Wally, or Wiley in the elementary cafeteria. The Penny War starts Monday, September 22 and runs through Friday, October 3—whichever name collects the most pennies will WIN!
This isn’t just about a mascot… it’s the start of a NEW ERA in Warhawk Athletics. Big changes are on the horizon, and this is your first chance to get in on the action. 💪
Even better: all money raised will help fund elementary student events. Make your vote count, support your school, and be part of something exciting! 💙
Get ready, Warhawks… it’s time to soar!

We appreciate your dedication, your problem-solving skills, and the calm way you make the complex look easy. Thank you for making MVE better every day!

Terri is such an inspiring part of our team. She encourages all her students to be empathetic and kind, and she truly models that in her own life. She believes life is so much better when we can all do this for each other.
Outside of school, Terri loves spending time with her family. Her kids are grown, but she cherishes those weekends when everyone comes home to Nana's. 🏡💙
What truly inspires Terri is the incredible resiliency of our students. She sees so many overcome huge challenges to earn their high school diploma, and their determination pushes her to be and do better every day. We are so grateful for teachers like Terri who pour so much into our students!
