Caution to drivers – On Friday, May 9, MVE Elementary will host its 14th Annual Biking Blast. Bikers will be on Garland Springs Road, Dalton Road, Mount Vernon Road, Bellwood Drive, and Siloam Road during the following times: • 6:30 AM to 8:15 AM • 3:00 PM to 4:15 PM Please use extreme caution and expect delays. Mount Vernon Road will be closed for a portion of the day from Bellwood Drive to the MVE Elementary Campus. If possible, consider taking an alternate route. While we are incredibly proud of all our track and field athletes—especially those who qualified for the state meet—we want to share an important update. The State Track Meet, originally scheduled for Tuesday, May 6, was unfortunately rained out. The event has been rescheduled for Monday, May 12 at 12:00 PM in Quitman. While we are saddened that this event will conflict with our graduation ceremony, we are proud of the largest group of Warhawks to ever qualify for state—a true testament to their talent, commitment, and teamwork. Any student who qualified for the state meet and chooses to compete will absolutely be given the opportunity to do so.
